Sun-Making Machine: Invention of the Solar Bloom is a one-of-a-kind modern art painting by artist Janet Antepara. Sun-Making Machine: Invention of the Solar Bloom is an abstract painting that intertwines technology and nature. Feeling nostalgic for sunny afternoons and blooming gardens, I created a sun-making apparatus that generates the sun at different stages, including sunrises and sunsets. This apparatus harnesses energy from a network of metallic screens that symbolize our digital world, where we conceal and observe life behind screens. This energy is then channeled and processed through cables of complementary colors, which work in unison to generate recycled energy to create suns. These newly created suns facilitate the generation of new life, symbolized by three artificial flowers sprouting from the energy-producing screen grid. At the heart of the composition lies a red sun, a focal point radiating warmth and vitality. The doodle-inspired strokes infuse the canvas with a sense of whimsy, evoking the playful dance of organic forms and geometric shapes which serve as a visual metaphor for the harmonious coexistence of natural elements and human innovation.
